Naked knits
This book was on my Christmas list and really Ashley Paige is into naked knits.
All good fun! and definatly the first knitting book your partner will want to pick up!
The patterns are cute and very 70's but still a bit out of my league. So heres a pair I designed myself.
4mm needle and a whole 50gm ball of yarn, I crocheted the edge and then plated the side strings.
Not sure if they'll make the beach but all good fun............next project the bra part!

Mollys new project
It's a hat and scarf! We saw a boy wearing one of these on the tram, so she thought she'd make her own.
She used her kiddies knit machine to make the scarf part and then I picked up the stitches and crocheted the hat part.
Part three's lesson, is how to make a pom pom. She's on a roll so soon the scarf part will be finished.
Completed!
My finished dress, I have shown it in the three parts as the middle was not that intreasting its just long and thin (like the super models)
The button sets off the top and the crochet egding give a nice effect, kind of a Spanish Dancer feeling.
The fabric feels pretty strong, considering its made from paper. I guess the proof will be in the pudding (meaning when someone trys it on) It's a bit of a double pun! Models & Pudding, not really any link.

A paper wedding dress!
A full length paper wedding dress, made from the yarn I brought in the UK and it's made from dyed, recycled paper! Why in pale grey? For 'Vinter' in Swedish (winter). And it was only 50p for grey and £1 for white, shockingly.....
Full length, the body is in one piece and then the shawl is attached with an over sized Red button. It's a combination of knit and crochet, made with 15mm, 20mm, 25mm needles and a 5mm, 10mm and 15mm crochet hooks.
Just working on the bottom frill and I'll be finished. Just need a 6ft stick of a super model, to try it on but unfortunately I don't know any!
And not for a rainy day!

The basic's for my art work!
Two different examples some knitted and some crocheted then joined together, I use all my scrap yarns and things I've collected that can be knitted to make the templates for the canvases I then make, that are on the knitting for art exhibition blogg.
So this week I've mostly been making samples and test pieces.

Baby Twins blanket No 1
Pram top blanket No1, Its made from wool that looks like curtain edge (but soft wool) in appearance the colours lilac, baby blue, pink and yellow.
I knitted the centre rectangle then crocheted the edging to give a frilled effect.
Very traditional in colour and style or though the finished blanket looks a little girli, well twin 2 i'll make a more boyish version so she'll have a collection to choose from.

Recycled shopping bag!
The main bag part, has been made using a 15mm crochet hook. The recycle part is that if you look close, you can see that I knitted in lot of bottle lids in. About a month reclaims every lid from every cleaner, food, bottles of juice etc
Then I had to drill through the lids and then attach them to the knotted together scubi's. The handle I made as a separate piece and then attached it using a 5mm crochet hook. Tricky using the smaller hooks with the plastic as the tention is very tight.

New start, New year
A high light hair hook, funky wool and a fab button and we have an amazing little clutch bag.
Took a while as the hook end is tiny, and a little sharp but all the same a free crochet hook.
I knitted a rectangle, then crochet around the rectangle intead of just up and down as I'd begun.
Folded and rectangle round like an envelope and then joined the edges and around the flap opening part. Then attached the chain strap and so all in one piece no join's.
Amazing!
