Covered town and the green line, all official of course. A good day the sun was shining and I never realised that their where quite so many pin boards.
Excellent day for walking.

New knit travels
Train travel knitting, below the beginnings.
The travel story is on my why blog, but here are the knit pictures. Lets just put it this way, it was one long day with many modes of transport. But i got a whole lot of crocheting done.
New project and a trail piece.
Vernissage success
My dresses, below Sophie and Monet
I was so nervous that I felt sick.
I was actually glad that it was slow and constant rather than fast and manic.
( A beautifully sunny day, so people don't shop they tan)
All the knitters came and the flowers where plenty;-)
My reasons for stress
No one would come!
Another
my lack of Swedish makes it hard. I the odd one so I feel bad for bringing it back to English.
And to translate (not translate just think about what I say)
Speak clearly/clearer to strangers....... I am not complaining after all I'm the one with only her 1st language!
Another
(I hate to be on display, but strangely I like to be bright and to be noticed)
my art I love that people want to look but my self I and happy to just sit in a group and knit.
Still not quite sure why all the nerve's, I know that I'm good at what I do but my friends are all going to say they like it (my art)
But publicly still not sure I'm ready, but what have I got to loose.
Fingers crossed I sell one before the week is out.
I think that my dresses look incredible I cant believe that I made it all my self.
And now it's in full swing I will enjoy it..........

Shakespearian
Nearly their the with the Shakespearian top, ready for a show curtain almost.........and what show would that be!
Mine .............
I am extremely nervous already and still two days to go. For those who know me well or have met me at a knit cafe. I already speak extremely fast.
( very sorry, always so much to say)
But when I nervous my words just don't work. So if I thank everyone for coming today
(big thank you!)
then that way ,when I get over whelmed and embarrassed and my words get all jumbled..........you will know
Just what It was that I was trying to say.:-)

Same dress just a different way to wear.
Loved this image of the knitting and crochet.
It was originally worn, as a long straight down dress with a frilly knee length edge.
(This was my 1st lesson in weight as with knitting it keeps on growing even when you have ended the project)
But thought it needed to be funked up (modernised) and this just shows that you can see things completely different, to suit your needs.
It looked more classic and now more 80's and I have changed nothing, I just weaved the belt through instead of just a wrap around.
This can take the weight more, so the top part bags over and the bottom to me looks more like a tu tu.(All good fun)

Happy Birthday to me
Cool Stella
Princess cake, my favourite
Knit lab birthday
35th today
What better way to spend it than knitting (well actually crocheting today) showered with gifts and a Swedish happy birthday I was truly over whelmed.
Princess cake and home made muffins, oh so spoiled.
Talk of Pimm’s and a summer’s day;-0
Knit one drop one…….yarnology another year older, another year knit wiser
A flower pot
New Project
My daughter made me this recently.
All of the above teamed with my new crochet on crochet stitch that I am perfecting. The one that I used recently to make the sleeve of the Shakespeare style top.
Inspiration, colours and texture I have. Now I have started this project by Crocheting on a flat round shape, then I just keep adding one stitch to each circle round using a 12mm hook.
And then I will once the round is big enough I will then start to bring it in with the bone structure to make it fit the mannequin.

Knit lab news
Knit lab and my exhibition
My knit lab run in (meeting of) Ralph Herman’s paid of hugely not only has he helped us price the art (As an art critic writer, he is a man that knows) he has also curatted the pieces. Yes I am extremely lucky.
Knit lab proudly presents……coming soon Alison Friday.
A knitted alternative is the title, several painting and mannequins wearing some of my designs.
The poster/ flyer is ready the booklet about the art, just the invite and date to be confirmed and as we say in
Conformation
Its now confirmed the 24th May until the end of June
So again watch this space, more news to follow!
Knitted by me up date
This week on a tram/train trip I bumped into one of the authors form the book Knitted by me that I feature (God I love writing that!)
Jenny, see told me that at the moment they are thinking of putting the book to
I have none!!!!
This is all funny as the knitting didn’t start until here/Stockholm.
But I on it, once the nets up I figure I go home in a year so I really should see what’s awaiting for my return to
Also that it has to be put to proper English, by a translator!, again I am totally useless!
1) I can read but cant understand patterns, nor do I know any knit terms other that plain and pearl (just)
2) And even if I could with the dyslexic part none of the patterns would work as Id no doubt Miss Major Parts ;-(

Ming Vase?, maybe not!
Hard to believe but it actually a bag made from a shower curtain. It’s the dollar store shower curtain that was cut into strips. I am going to make a quirky beach bag I think ;-) Seeing as the weathers got warmer and the Swedish local beach bathing will commence.
Ingredients
1 ball of cut shower curtain plastic
1 blue string
1 x 8mm crochet hook
How
I made the base using an 8 chain and then just went round and round adding stitches as I went to make the base flat.
Once I reached the size required I just stopped adding stitches, then the sides form.
A shakespear play
A boned structure
New top
We moved in we unpacked and have been with out net access for two weeks so here is my catch up blogging…….yes I’ am an addict (I missed it so much)
This I am really excited about and the stitch I have planned for a while just not had the out fit to try it on.
So here it is, I crochet on top of crochet. I used a four stitch the baby blanket type and with an 8mm hook picked up on top of the original 15mm hook fabric I had 1st crochet the sleeve with. End result is a kind of bone like structure.
Neck line
The neck line I have lifted using a 3mm hook and burgundy acrylic I added different rows and different stitches to pull it in at different angles.
The body
This is actually knitted in cotton which s unusual for me a Christmas gift (thanks Sophie) But to be honest I found the cotton hard work, no stretch that I’m used too and also it’s not at all forgiving.
This is it so far……..
