1st Jack checks the workman ship of my latest duckling , the stitches pass the inspection always attention to detail, just like his father 100%.   

This one should float and be completely clean at the same time, seeing it's made of recycled shower puff.

And hes now ready to release the duckling, set it free.

In the duck pic below the duckling appears to be winking, 

signaling it's readiness to leave the family pack.

A beautiful little beach the sand is white the sea is 

pretty blue and the duck is set down.  

At this point I have to pick up the baby and run, 

whist taking the photos! of course.  

Now that's what I call multi tasking.  

The tide had turned, so wet shoes for me.

And the waves washed in.

The duck tipped.

And washed back in again, chicken.........

Above one of my newest editions to my knitted art collection. And fabulous it is, I hope you'll agree.

I titled this blog Random things as the weekend just gone, I had a google morning.  If I'm honest, honesty I was googling myself 

(Am I the only one that does this? )  I think not.  

And I found lots of random things.  This is what I still love about the art of crochet and knit there is always something new to inspire me..........

I used the new search engine on google that when you put in one word.  Knitting, it links you to blogs images etc etc.

I only recently saw the lady above on a grand designs, a barn conversion of immense proportion's I could find the link but you may fair better than me.

But the reason I'm mentioning this is that I have recently decided that I'm a maxi-ama-list as this couple where , she being half.  They where defiantly an inspiration.

In my 20's I minimised.

In my 30's I recycled,a hell of a lot.

Two years from 40 , my art is a collection of everything that I could possibly use.

My shed /studio is starting to reflect that of a horder;-(

First, the new model is larger. When compared with its predecessor, the 2011 X3 is 14 millimetres taller, 79 mm longer, 28 mm wider and earns 12 mm more ground clearance.

More significantly, it now rides on a 2,810-mm wheelbase, which is up 15 mm. All of this translates into more interior space, especially for the rear-seat riders, and a larger cargo compartment — it now accommodates 27.6 cubic feet with the seats upright and 63.3 with them folded flat.

So far, so good; however, it’s beneath the brightwork where you’ll find the X3’s more significant changes. While the X3 xDrive28i and its 3.0-litre in-line six (240 horsepower) will be more than enough for many prospective owners, the engine of choice is found in the up-level X3 xDrive35i tested. In this case, the use of BMW’s Valvetronic valve management system — it replaces the traditional throttle by using the intake valves to control engine output — and a twin-scroll turbocharger combine to dish out 300 hp and 295 pound-feet of torque. Decent numbers to be sure, but it’s the fact the torque clocks in at 1,300 rpm that really transforms the drive. It’s such that whenever the driver gets on the gas, the power is there — in an instant.

Part of reason for the alacrity, the complete lack of turbo lag aside, is the new eight-speed automatic transmission (it’s also standard on the xDrive28i). The gear spacing is such that the first six ratios key on performance, while the other two bring an unflustered highway ride and take care of the quest for fuel economy. What really separates this transmission from so many other eight-speed boxes is the fact this one does not hunt and peck between the gears whenever the road begins to undulate. The xDrive35i’s drive is the epitome of seamlessly smooth.

Audi unveiled the R8 — its first ever mid-engine sports cars — for the 2008 model year and beyond. Sales began in the first half of 2007 for the United States and Europe

The car has a 420 hp high-revving V8 engine and all-wheel-drive. It uses the mid-engine Lamborghini Gallardo platform and costs $114,200, positioning it squarely against the BMW M6, Porsche 911, and Aston Martin Vantage.

The car features a choice of LED or Xenon headlamps surrounded by LED running lights and indicators. LEDs ar also used in the engine bay to make the telling V8 visible even at night.

Both a standard manual and an automated manual transmission ar offered. Claimed zero to 62 mph time is 4.6 seconds, though this number is likely conservative.

The interior has a driver-oriented cockpit architecture, integration the driver between the dashboard and the high centre console. The instrument panel above the console is angled slightly towards the driver. The flat-bottomed steering wheel is a typical feature of the sportiest Audi models, and also enables comfortable sports car entry and exit

The sports seats are trimmed as standard in a Leather/Alcantara combination, or optionally in full leather. Alternatively, the R8 can also be fitted with pail seats, specially developed by quattro GmbH. There is plenty of room for the two occupants, with comfort levels well beyond the norm of high-performance sports cars. There is space behind the seats to stow large bags, or even two golf bags. The baggage compartment astatine the front has a capacity of 100 litres.
