Jennifer Aniston in Crochet.

Crocheted Dresses
Always never missing an opportunity to promote Crochet , here is my latest find the new chick flick( I think) film

And doesn't Jen look lovely in her perfectly crocheted dress.
(I'm hoping hand made)

Yes I here you

Yet another bag, a theme of not concentrating and being awfully bored of my current situation.

Need something new...........

Freeform
Peacock colours
A 70 Brussels sprout bag inspired.

My skirt and other bag, previously posted but better quality photos this time.
You can see the blue if you look close on the waist band that I'm still pulling in so no falling off on the hips.

The Belt strap is a pretty cool feature.

Wall paper

I found wall paper for my bed room!(not brought it yet) but finding it's a positive start.  Black and white now thats weird!, I like a colourful house.

What could have influenced me......  I strangely think that it came from Rasmus, very black and white.  Perfect! I guess it's a comfort thing.

Rasmus and the wall paper, it would be like a black and white where's Wally!
He will blend right in;-)

Woodley Library from the inside and more.

Woodley Library from inside the Exhibition.

My in a nut shell week......

A catch up since the exhibition rush , that would be best described as a fast steam train that run out of coal.

That is now at the station currently waiting for more coal to be delivered.

My art next to the ladies.....
WC,
Facilities,
Loo's,
Potty,
toilets.
I have to keep making this joke as it's very funny,
I gone from international artist to toilet art.

But what you will agree is that everyone needs to spend a penny, at some point.
And what better place to fall in-love with a huge dark canvas that you would
love to hang on you wall;-)

That's my theory.....
That and the title of art is A Victim of Circumstance......Apt
 Other things.........
This was a dress!
Then an elaborate poncho, but I decided that it was just too flappy.
(my capes and ponchos are a WIP)

So its been cut up(again) its not so drastic better to be wearable than a wardrobe space hogger.

And now i'm working on the waist band and I have turned the hat part into a bag.

It looks pretty cool, I used an old primark belt as a handle,
(old?free with denim one I hadnt used)

attached by simply making loops on the top edge of the bag, so basically a ready made handle and looks expensive.

All I added was the cream yarn at three rows adding the loops for the handle.
The base of the bag was originally the body part of a dress.

Below is the waist band that's pretty loose, so I just need to tighten the stitches to allow it to support  a very winter skirt.

I guess I will put it away for next year as hopefully the weathers picking up now.
No cold bottoms for me next year, I have quiet a knitted/crocheted skirt collection.

I really think that wearing your wears is the best way to get you work noticed and appreciated.

Thistles Ducks and Stools.........

My local library project is in full swing and on completing this late night little piece of free-form it suddenly occurred too me that it looked particularly like a weed (the thistle type) Scottish thistle........ or some sort of alien bug? i'll leave you to make up your mind.

Alien of thistle

Hoodie Duck

Hooded teen duckling

Hopefully a behaved one.......Not a shop lifter;-)
My son is going to set this free.....well hopefully he is!
He's not so reliable.

So I wont put a time on it.  Fingers crossed he doesn't fall in, with
the process of setting this little one free.

This ones set for Worcester and the river Severn that runs through
(its left the house) So watch this space.

What to-do with a boring Ikea stool........

Well cover it with crochet of cousre.

My Library review

During February, Alison Friday, a fibre artist, will be exhibiting her work at Woodley
Library. Alison uses free form crochet and knit to express herself. Her art is quite
diverse, ranging from knitted banners and plastic ducks to layered canvas services
created using a combination of stitch layers and spray paint. For more information
about the Art in the Library project please contact Woodley library on 0118 969 0304
