Lisa Wu Hartwell and Ed Hartwell Separate

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate, Lisa Wu Hartwell and husband Ed Hartwell have separated.  Over the weekend, Lisa broke the news via twitter, writing, "Sadly.We r seperated but wld NEVER b over money. That is so far frm the truth. Wish ppl cld respect ppl’s privacy during times like these."

Lisa has since deleted the tweet. Her publicist, Jonell Whitt, told the Atlanta Journal Constitution that Lisa didn't want to talk about the separation.

Lisa's tweet seems to imply that people are speculating that the separation is due to financial reasons. The couple filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in 2007 and their home was foreclosed in 2009.

Just last month, Lisa played a role in a play that hit very close to home. Lisa starred in a play called Stripped at the Ferst Center at Georgia Tech. She played the wife of a former NFL player struggling to adjust after the fame fades away and the money stops pouring in. Lisa's character is on the verge of divorcing her husband but in the end, the couple attempts to make it work.

Lisa and Ed have one child together, Ed Jr. Lisa was previously married to R&B singer Keith Sweat, with whom she has two sons with.

According to AJC, Lisa has stopped wearing her ring.
