This was a charity shop find.

Plastic bag, tied up containing three full yarns,

Two used.

One front(ish) and half a back.

Packaging for a circular needle but not contents.

I picked up the stitches,

I figured that I could make something.

With these originally, once loved little stitches.

I do have a lot on, but Christmas is coming and I'll get some catch up time.

A 15 chain to begin for the central round the sized needed

To fit over the button, made on a size 4 hook.

Cotton 4 ply (I think)

But that would be trail and error depending on your tension , yarn and hook size.

Saw this and it seems to be a big theme with me lately the"Make do and Mend" 1940 but here's a war time poster I found on Wiki.

I like the strap line , but with two teenagers in my house their is never any food to preserve.

Bag Crazy

I seem to be a hand bag production line,

I'm really enjoying making the bags

As stitch experimentation with crochet is one of my favourite things to do.

Unlike the dresses that take a lot of yarn the bags don't.

And they are excellent way of using you stash balls
(not that I have much of a stash but odds and ends I do.)
