This week I have been MOSTlY creating....

This week I have been mostly creating a Huge Blog Post.

I hope that you have 10 minutes spare instead of the required 5 and more importanblty a huge cup of Tea or a rather large mug of coffee.;-0

Begin........(Pee stop?) best to be comfortable before commencing to my long catch up week.
 Mary Mary takes shape
I have began the trask of stitching together some of the textile sasmples that I have created.  The grass/feild skirt is the start and I am really enjoying fitting the pices like a giant jig saw puzzle.

I am also already thinking about where to exhibit. I was kindly offered a place at the Henley Arts Festival (HAT) Knit shop.  But at a price and I really feel that I can exhib for free, after all the dress will be ART to inspire and not for sale, so to pay to promote it really didnt make sense at this time.

Acrylic here, acrylic there... there really is acrylic every where.......

Here are some of the shapes and texture that I have created.
It's a mixture of yarns I'm not a yarn snob and yes a lot is acrylic which I really love, as it means that I get to create vast project at little cost.;-)

Farm Animals
As luck would have it I found a huge bag of them in oxfam and these are just what I needed to complete my grass part of the dress.

I mean I would love for some home made (Alan Dart) if  your reading my blog./ type of knitted sheep to add to my project.   But as it goes little animal knits I'm not up to making.

So feel free to pass on to me if you have any that I can add to my vast skirt.

Big project/ graffiti knitters Stockholm

Walk this way.....

The translation is rough taken from there blog/me helping a little with one of the Stockholm graffiti knit group.

Stickkontakt, here goes my mini translation

Jack is guilty of a massive virkvåg (crochet) which is at its hottest in the Stockholm area but also extends beyond its borders with countries such as England and Germany. Hazardous chunks of virkverk in early May to be transported into Denmark, hoisted up with lift
and installed at higher elevations.

The result is to beholding to you all summer as part of Walk This Way, an international street art exhibition in Køge. Read more at

Google translate was very helpful here.

 Basically
Street art involving huge truck/harbour.   That will be part covered by knit and crochet.
In my true style I had a box ready to go.....
Ironically Home Sweet Home graffiti has headed back to stockholm , where it will travel with Stickkontakt to Denmark.

Who knows maybe ill get a to plan a mini break to the opening;-)

 Recycle recycle

What was once a crocheted bin, is now a plant pot.

Knitted Textile Awards Showcase 2010
(I took the text from the web site above/unforgivable, I missed the name?)

The aim of my project is to create Techno-Gothic fashion. This style has both Techno and
Gothic elements. When these elements are combined together, I believe a new style can be
created. To express this style, I have used hand crafted and digital techniques. As my
garments are both hand and digitally manipulated, I believe they appeal to a customer
who appreciates the dramatic impact created by the fusion of Techno-Gothic. My garments
are designed for musicians and performers who have the confidence to wear dramatic styles

Below Pants

 http://whatnottocrochet.wordpress.com/2011/02/07/practical/
The exert below is taken from this very entertaining blog above.

The blog title where this beauty was found reads: “Crochet, Comfortable & Practical for Girls”. Where to begin exactly? Yikes. Not sure how comfortable or practical this design would be given the lumps and bumps the tampons would create under a  pair of pants or skirt but  then again, who would notice, right? Insert sarcastic smirk here.

All that I could think about was VPL? more like VPTL
 (Visible pant tampon line)
And finally before you have fallen to sleep.......

A knitted Prince William and Kate.
A little bit of Royal Jolly.
