Birthdays and Stuff..........

Cake , yes another year older.  I have not had the heart to update my profile as I dont feel
that I like the idea that i'm that close to forty so for now ill remain 37.

"Age it's is only a number" who said that!

"But 7 sounds better than 8";-) who am I kidding.

Cup cakes from Asda, big cake and baby cakes mmmmmmmmm lemon and melt in your mouth sponge
8 out of 10.  Effort 10 out of 10.(Rich)

Knits for the Woolly Walk

Knitting, for this I used a crochet chain to complete the letter.  It's crocheted canvas for the back ground.

Fish

I titled this fish! , there aren't any fish.  I just thought that it looked a little tropical?

Auckland
New duck and a new destination so it's name is the place that it will be heading.

Duvet that mummy made.

Project Duvet

This has been a Long time in the making, saving tops since around 2002? he's beans T shirt bed cover.  He out grew the tops , bands and festivals I saved the front logos and stitched them together, don't look to close as I am not a seamstress, but my son was pretty impressed all the same.

His room is a bomb site, so it made taking the photos was a little difficult.;-)

Just so festival.
artyarn aka Rachel Elwel is always doing something for her community and always a collaborative piece, flowers are required.

Prague, Stockholm and France it's all soooo International

Prague duck release,

And not the traditional release (river) as we where a little pushed for time so
the Hostel/hotel we stayed in had mini water feature, so that's where the duck left the flock. (So to speak)

Prague- This is my second visit to Prague and I absolutely love the place. I went before I came to Stockholm and in my mind I think that the Gothic style of Gamla Stan it kind of reminded me of Prague.(my opinion)

The one word I would use to describe it is Beautiful. Every where you look you see such fantastic architecture. And the Cobbled streets are another favourite of mine
.

That and Beer costs 1 Euro/£1 , Stockholm 75kr ish (Nearly £8.......) Hotel Mosaic (5 day open/5 weeks memory) strongly recommend. Funky and totally modern, one might say "pretty arty" with standing lamps that stand actually hanging from the ceilings in the dinning room.

http://www.mosaichouse.com/ Added plus a bar man looking like Johnny Deep, Pirates Johnny hair not so big, another hotel high light.
Total value for money;-)

Prague Knitted Graffiti
. (Sorry I forgot to write down the destination)

Not Central Prague, more by the river it could have been next to the National Theatre. My memory has never been good!

Stockholm.

Mid Summer's coming and a large May Pole by the palace/2010 love ending.

New Crochet.

New Crocheted Top.

The green yarn is a Chain of crochet and then I threaded it with a needle, I will attach it at the back,
but not sure how.

Not sure Whether it should be hidden or a feature.
Next Threaded a chain of two yarns under the bust part, just for some detail.

That's it so far.

Rasmus trying to knit my wires!

Bag linings

Here is my little production line of bag lining, some of the knit/crochet bags come up so strong that a lining is not always needed. But for some I thought that a lining would look a little bit more professional.;-)

Funny thing is that my hand stitching is not quiet up to my knit standard and it really did look as if a young child had sowed them in.........

I used the sowing machine and old T shirts to make the lining, so that part was easy but the sowing in with out showing or simply neatly was a little bit of a challenge.

So for now ill count the stitches as the tacking and when I return to England my good friend Angela can show me how!!!

France

Unfortunately I have not been recently but this was La-man
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_Hours_of_Le_Mans and a car shell designed by
none other than Jeff Koons ( I want one)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Koons

Not a race car any old banger but with this paint
job it's very cool.
Photo taken from the web site below

THE DUCK MINI MOVIE..............

The first you-tube was simply to show the my idea at the time
(Original!, who knew?). I was a very inexperienced film maker.

This one actaully has a title and end credits, still not exactly experienced but better. I would like this one to be the official ducks release, for my knitted graffiti duck project that launched in 2009.

Rasmus and the knitted Graffiti.

Rasmus and the Pee'd on, Pink knitted Graffiti.

Here he is sat back admiring his work!,

No wait ..........

that's me admiring him and my work, from behind the camera;-)

This is Rasmus showing his full application for my art.

We took a walk last week before the big melt.

I graffiti my dog route, as it just makes it a little more
interesting, especially when there is nothing but stupid snow.

I like to diary if you like(Just a photo), how long they last.

And how they start to blend in with their surroundings.

I miss them when they are gone, do all the dog walkers?
,

I hope so;-)

Rasmus obviously remembers this pink knit well

as he attempted to pee at it the 1st time but missed.

He is a only a doggy teen, just two.

(The tree that is!, he is house trained as does not pee on my knitting in general)

And on the re-visit he did it again, but properly.

I guess the knit is my way of marking the tree.

And the pee is Rasmus's.

The knitted convenience

The Beginning!!!
My contribution to the knitted convenience
http://www.sydneydesign.com.au/sd09/exhibitions/the-knitted-convenience/
My little joke, the free-form crochet on a loo roll.
(Toilet roll inner)

A spare hour, a pot of tea on the patio and my little but all important contribution.
My quick crochet.....it's at least a couple of sheets, Crocheted today then straight into a jiffy envelope. next step the post office.
Project K C, NSW oz.
It's really not much, but hopefully a gap filler.
I just hope it cuts the mustard.
(no more yellow joke's, promise)

My knitted graffiti, gets signed. I added my signature;-)
VHS
This bug bear dress, is just getting more and more technical.
The weight is still an issue that's why if you look close you can see all my support ropes.
(Well odds and ends of yarn)

My handsome puppy, who seems to be terribly jinxed. Yesterday he got stung by a bee and his face swelled, the swelling went down.
Then.........Today his chin swelled. Poor boy!
