Yes that is my dress in the shop window!

From the street, Rosenlundsgatan 38f (knit Lab) Stockholm
Knit lab asked if they could put my Lotrrh dress in their window for the breast cancer pink display for this week, I must have looked like the cat from "Alice in wonderland" Amazed and flattered of course I said yes!

Charlie and the chocolate factory

My latest bed time cuddly cardi just makes me feel a little "Willy Wonkerish". It's all the purple. My niece Sasha was very impressed as purple and orange are her favourite colour's.

This week I have been mostley knitting a cardi!

The cardi is nearly finished and now I'm just left with the dreaded ends! Knitting.....
The shrug has a knitted body and then crochet sleeves, I wanted to make a bed time Jacket. Old fashioned type, for reading propped up in bed I get cold arms and a full length cardi gets in the way so this style is perfect, that's why the outrageous colours! it didn't matter. I just need to make slippers to match as last years wore out.
(Sorry for bad pic lenses cleaner required here!)

Pink pants for awarness of Breast cancer!

Back of the pants! I need to be a little organised for next year and actually raffle the pants or something and actually make money for the charity and not just think about it!;-(
Front, with the ribbons they look a like Agent Proc!(you know the make I mean?) think we even have a store now in Stockholm.

Yet more knitted graffiti

I found this princess on a park lamp post down town Stockholm. The knitted graffiti just makes me laugh every time I see some.

KNIT LAB

This is my work, that is currently on a rail in the knitting shop 'knit lab' in Stockholm, it's a good achievement for my 18 months learning to knit and crochet. Far more fun than a lot of other peoples patterns and my bad attempt to make there work. Why make someone else's when you can make you own!.

Knit bits

New knit book and it's very good. It inspired my new pink pants that I'm currently making.

Simply knit
'Swatch a new fibre'
The magazine recommends that now you can ask to buy a small amount of a new knit(yarn) to make a sample swatch without committing to the entire skein!
(Not sure how it would work, but it is a good idea as it can be very costly and you may not be happy with the feel once you had brought bulk to make the shrug? also you could wash the sample to see if its suitable for what you want)

New Rowan-New stuff only saw a little pic in the mag but it looks amazing (the range cosy pieces) It's a gray cape type thing with huge cable and it really looks good.

This week

An all in one shrug, its on 7mm needles my new charity shop wooden purchase and its 50 stitches one row of knit and then one of pearl. Then the middle is the beany rib 2 knits 2 pearls and so on. I am going to edge in purple by using crochet, that is my plan.
I'm knitting, these are pink pants inspired by my latest knit book "Naughty knits"and I have just discovered that the yarn I like to call "cotton wool" is in fact snow flake yarn (new fact everyday)

Here is a bit of text taken form the book it made me laugh, its a fun and colurful xxxx rated adult form of knit I seen so far. Lets say knitporn!

"and while fluttery eyelashes and lip gloss and pink chiffon of it all is a little corny, there's something both comforting and surprisingly titillating about the aesthetic. After all, with today's preteens tarting themselves up like tiny hookers, overt sexiness has become almost creepy."

Bedroom knit cafe

I don't look very happy! it's my knit concentrate face? Monet is concentrating also as she is experimenting with beads and pearl!(New hair, shocking! but in a nice way)
Was a little off colour so we did a bed room knit cafe.

Finished! this week I have been mostly finishing B,F

Whist still in the making I didn't realise how much it looked like my husbands guitar was used for inspiration. Purely coincidental! but funny....
Its almost done, just a ribbon to lace up the front panel that is just for decoration. The dress looks amazing and the weight and colours have been a real learning curve. But I am really pleased and technically it my best yet!

Black Fiske (under skirt)

Up close the fixing(zip part) so that it can get on and off easily I decided to keep it separate rather than attach it to the main dress as the weight was becoming a bit of an issue.
This is the under skirt part that is to then have the dress over the top. Knitted on a round then the crochet is picked up at the top to make the waist band and then the heavy edging is a pickup of stitches on a 15 mm crochet hook in three yarns to give it the weight to hang.

Sushi, it's chop stick knitting

When your stuck in a Sushi/Chinese restaurant and you need a knit fix as long as you have something to knit with! the chop sticks work well.
