Platform 15 Jo-Berg (South Africa)

http://www.premierclasse.co.za/

Champagne knit coffee a kind of orient express.

Relax sit back and look at the ever passing changing,

extremely diverse surrounding.

Enjoy the rocking and the squeal of the tracks, beats flying any day.

Armed with new supplies

Jo-berg and a helpful cousin,
(Tack Kyle)
found me "Sew What"

Aptly named haberdashery, it's official I could live in South Africa
Good coffee and a knit shop.....I'm in.

Me (unusual I know) Never keen on pictures with me in them,

but I guess every now and then it's OK just so you know

I'm a real person..............

Not just a Superknit hero;-)

Champagne as I do like to crochet in style.

Sipping champers to the chug of a train.

Crochet and the bed, a little compartment each,

complete with bed sofa and a little table and wash basin.

(so little I missed it )

So a very kind passenger,

Slightly drunk

showed me where. Oj oj oj

630 wake up with coffee and 24 hour trip

F,A,B as they say in Thunderbirds.

It rained it poured on way the the station

My poor pink pumps got flooded, they spent the trip drying out.

Extreme rain.

Once we left Jo-Berg the sun shone.

Packaging Dress Made Real.

This is my packaging dress constructed entirely of fruit and vegetable packaging.

It appear on my mannequin as a finished dress.

But

Actually

Factually

If I'm honest

I have learnt a few cheats/photography & photo-shop.

The fact is that it's all edged in crochet.

That's all the packaging squares and rectangles.

But the actual dress construction, is a fraud.

It is completely pinned in place.

A dress makers dummy.

I had mapped out where the parts will be/roughly.

And just before I left for my holiday I had actually began the big task

of making it wearable and stitching them together.

The actual dress construction part has now commenced.

I made a band the yellow cotton crochet and this worked,

It was trial and error
!

As I tried a few bands.

The acrylic was just to thick not delicate enough.

Then in my dwindling stash
(I really need to sell some art to replenish this)

I found the cotton/lemon worked a treat and I'm off.

Watch this space a lot of construction and imagination to follow.

My on line mention

Stickkontakt

I'm feeling very smug.

Pom- pom set in Ice.

I'm so in love with these picture's, new Ice project.

It's a frozen Pom-pom set in Ice.

Very in-keeping with the English weather.

It took five and a half hour's to collect my son.

A trip that should have taken three.

Tonight we are brassed for the coldest yet -17

Yes that's England not Stockholm.......shocking!.

Plane Crochet, Blythe dresses made in the sky.

My morning moan/My UK shock!

Before I get to the Flight Blythe Crochet, I need to show this..........

Say this.......

We came to Uk, to get away from the snow, to wake up to this!!!!

My father-in law in the neighbouring field with his collection of dog's
Enjoying the hideous snow.

For art I like it, for daily living I detest it.

Seeing it's England, No grit no gritter no budget!

We are officially stuck, thank god for the British over use of 4x4,
We are actually in the country side
So my family actually rate having them;-)

Thank goodness.

Yesterdays flight, SAS Sweden to England

Two hooks,
5 and 8 (Always prepared!)

My Christmas gift yarn

And I'm off.

I mapped a basic pattern for a baby jumper
Inspiration 1975 (Swedish knit Project) at the air port.

The free-form Blythe dresses,

I began on take off, and

I had completed on landing;-).

Funny looks at my tiny opposites colour yarns of dresses,

Detailed and tiny.

Using a swirl as a back patch and a flower for each one sleeve,

My dress designed.

Pretty dam cute

Unfortunately three weeks before I get to try them on my actual dolls, but hey hoe.........it is my holiday.

And at the rate of everything standing still(Britain's Weather Disaster)

I could be completely stuck here for a lot longer!.

Oj oj oj

Size 5 hook

I made a chain of 8 and then circled around and around.

Filling the back gap.

1975

Baby pattern

I'm just trying to achieve the re make of the no pattern

Baby Jumper

Created by a selection of squares and rectangles.

Crochet commenced into 2010.

A gift from Lisa (The fashionista)

Here the end result of the bag that,

I crocheted into 2010

(while the fire works exploded over Stockholm)

All my family and guests hit the patio.......

I sat cuddled up with my Rasmus,
whom unfortunately was just a big bit afraid.

(little Pop's and Honung slept through:-)

Over xmas I created little blocks of free-form/new and old stitches.

Mindless fun

(late stitching so not technical, we had guests!.)

Free-form ,

Textured ,

Structured.

If it was fabric it would look like patched work.

As each different coloured part was a separate piece.

I stitched them all together, using a chain stitch.

Thus creating a rectangle,almost.......

Adding extra detail, as I went.

New years day our guest leave.

Commenced operation-de Christmas

Remover of all xmas

(Borbles/tree/chintz!)

As we travel soon.

Big adventure for my daughter,:-(

Big year for my son.

And a big holiday with one of my oldest friends

(South Africa is my newest adventure)

Inspiration and flow

What with all this years stressful challenges,
(Hopefully not to stressful)

I needed a good start.......thank goodness for the

Sticks/needles/HOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My all things, yarn related addiction, keeps my sanity.

So a quiet blog for a
couple of weeks.
