Big post! Race,Crochet and my anniversery.

Race track.

Below my 1st team number I was very happy to wear in for the whole afternoon.;-)
Race

Saturday 5th AKA my wedding anniversary week, week as we dated from the 5th but got married two years later on the 3rd(we think?/slight date confusion after 14 years)

Belmanfettan relay race 5 members

5km 30 min.50 seconds;-)
It's yet another tick of my things in life list (to-do's)" Run in a race".

Done

Totally shattered but pleased that I committed my self admittedly, begrudgingly

Coached by
Team Kim and Mary.........and I did it,so pleased but honesty one of the hardest things I had done as I didn't want to let the team down!

Now I'm thinking

Whens the next race..........;-)

Wedding Anniversary's

My rock star hubbie is in England, but he sent me these!(aaaaahhhhh)
How very cute, but of course I missing the delivery the romantic part as I was dashing around (slightly) in a big field running my part of the race.

Beautiful Pink roses.

loving placed in a jug by my son.

Felting.

Well lets just say plan B(second attempt at felting) went completely wrong and I think that I need to go on a course for this as yet again I ruined it.

Etsy Bag Shop To-be.

This is quiet funny, as you can see I indeed reversed the picture. As one way it is a Rag bag, but at the same it could also be a tea pot cosy, be it a big tea pot but they do come in all different sizes so maybe I could market some thing new.

Cosy button bag!
;-)

Dico diva duckling

Duckling project back on track.

Sigtuna Day trip.

These are planted on grave stone, it's tradition is for "All Saints Day" which in Swedish is

Allhelgonadagen

Not only do these grave stones look beautiful, they have a purpose. They blow in the wind and I think they chime and it is supposed to symbolise the people buried the noise (chat)

So that they can be heard on the special day.
(Thanks Team knit lab)

Copper coffee kettle

One of the oldest coffee shops in Sweden It claims, still serving in the original copper pots and I have never had coffee like this before but it was very nice and a pretty little place to lunch.

Cinema (Humphrey B?)

Below a Local window

One of the many window shots, the place was just packed with "hand made" ,
"handy crafts".

This is one of my favourite things about Sweden it really is a county that still embraces it handy crafts and it is just simply beautiful to see work that some one has loving made by them shelves and not shop brought.

Tradition is still very strong here and I love that part of the Swedish culture.

Crochet,Knit,Felt ,Ribbon and fabric.

Felt for my felted bag.

Sabine at my friday knit cafe gave me this inspiration.
The local yarn store
id selling of the fabric to make felt.

And I'am actually knitting this bag(it's been awhile)
with this little stash at 50kr (£5) swag, lets see what I can
achieve.

I just need to research how hot that the washing machine needs to be!
(project Lotrrh, I don't want to repeat)

I want to felt the fabric not destroy it.

Blast from the past.....

click on the entry below and scroll down my adult dress I washed on a boil by mistake and it can out Gelfling size.

Rag Bag

Complete
d

I found the yellow ribbon in my creative stash, It's a really simple idea and using the ribbon mean that you can adjust the handle length with a nice bow.

Free-form a little Prudence Mapstone.

Well only a little;-)

It just reminds me of all her colours in a piece I googled.

This bag is my favourite so far,
as I am making up the stitch's as I go along..........

Completely new stitches

So I'm in heaven, seeing where my imagination takes me and hoping that I'll remember them to use on the next project.

Prudences a scrumble a week blog, pretty cool for colour inspiration.

One of this weeks event's and its only Tuesday!

My daughter has gone on a school trip so the house will be very silent.

Here's a Little insert in-to "A day in the life of Monet"

A Monet moment

Yesterday she arrived home at 6 she ends school at 330 and its usual for her to stop off with friend all along her route home........

But she always calls and tells me after
she decided where to go.
Silent was the phone, but 6:30 is tea time(dinner) so if she wasn't home then,PANIC.

6pm she strolls in with her hair all straightened and the colour fixed. Local little hair salon thinks that my 12 year old looks adult!

Hair dying

(long story/sleep over, her and friend dyed/cut each others hair)

Obviously not with my permission
and to my daughters shock dying a box wash in Black on medium Brown hair. Makes for a stripy mess of multi colour when it actually starts to wash out.

I figured that we should let it grow out and not fix the wonky bob that it had been cut in as she would learn her lesson! well so I thought.

How did she pay for this.....
She helps a local mum and baby and get paid for her time, so what could I say! Pretty ingenuous and paid for by her self.

Obviously I had to tell her off(whist smiling) as at the same time/she booked, paid and fixed her own hair! at 12
.

We will be in for a night mare of a teenager, until then ill just enjoy the fun stuff I guess?;-)
